Sticker Appreciation 101

While we usually blog about more practical applications for labels and stickers, we couldn’t resist sharing these photos of an interactive art installation featured on BuzzFeed. For details about The Obliteration Room, read What Happens When You Give Kids Thousands of Stickers.

Gratitude for Our US Military Veterans

We here at Lightning Labels would like to thank all of the veterans of the US Armed forces and their families who have sacrificed so much to preserve the freedoms that we enjoy as American citizens. Happy Veterans’ Day, and may peace be with you and your loved ones throughout your post-service lives.

I’d also like to use this space to share a poem that expresses why the veterans I know best chose to serve in the military:

and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag.… Read the rest of Gratitude for Our US Military Veterans

“Moms and dads have a right to know whether harmful… Read the rest of Senate Bill Calls for Commercial Cleaning Products to Fully Disclose Ingredients | 1 Comment

Tropicana

Last month I wrote about the packaging makeover of Tropicana Fruit Juice. Well after a backlash from loyal customers, last week they decided to switch back to their original packaging. Much has been written about Tropicana these last couple of months since they first introduced the new packaging.

As I said in my post I wasn’t a big fan of the new packaging, and I never found anyone who had positive things to say about it. But I have been reflecting about this the last few… Read the rest of The Tropicana New Packaging "Fiasco"

Japanese Apple Stickers

Apple-apples

I came across this interesting article over the Holidays and I just had to share. An owner of an apple orchard in Japan, who just happens to be an avid Apple (the company) fan, created some die-cut stickers of the Apple and iPod logos. Then he stuck them on his apples while they were still young and on the tree.

When the apples were ripe he removed these die-cut stickers and because of the lack… Read the rest of Japanese Apple Stickers | 1 Comment
