The 2008 pentawards winners have been announced. This is a worldwide competition for creative excellence in brand packaging design. The Best in Show award went to this champagne bottle where everything is upside down. The bottle is sold in high end liquor stores where the bottle is enclosed in a sleeve to help it stay upright.
There are some truly great packaging showcased with these awards. Anyone interested in package design should go and check out the Dieline's special web site that showcases all the winners.
I’m working for the publisher Lürzer’s Archive. Currently we are preparing our special edition on Packaging Design. It’s supposed to be a compendium of the 200 most amazing Packaging Designers who will be selected be an international jury. Could you probably help me spread the word? Entries are open now and we are looking forward to numerous submissions.
