Peter Renton

I am originally from Sydney, Australia, but I moved to Denver, Colorado in 1991 to start up a branch of our family label business, Renton's Inc. I started Lightning Labels in 2002 when our primary label vendor went bankrupt. I saw the opportunity to start a 21st century label printing business using only the latest technology.

Lightning Labels was growing very fast so I sold Renton's Inc. in July, 2005 in order to focus my full attention to Lightning Labels. I hired an old friend and technology veteran as President of Lightning Labels and now we are one of the fastest growing label printers in the country. My primary role now is a marketing and finance role, and this blog serves as one of my marketing responsibilities.

I have always enjoyed writing and sharing what I know. I have a degree in computer science and I have always tried to keep up with the latest technology. This blog allows me to blend my love of writing and technology in the one place.
