The problem with corn is not its lack but its overabundance in our food supply, & there's a pretty strong correlation between the obesity epidemic in the US and corn in its many manifestations ending up in practically everything we eat. I was actually quite happy when I saw that corn was being diverted to packaging in the hopes that less of it would end up in food products. Never was there a crop more over-produced than corn. It in no way takes away from human food. It has not increased food prices either. A matter of fact, corn prices have went down. Our reliance on OIL has increased food prices, not PLA. All labels are a contaminant to the recycling stream for PET. The ink on them makes them a contaminent. PLA is also carbon Neutral and you cannnot say that about Natureflex. Also Whole foods is changing their stance on PLA and you are going to see very large brand owners switchin label stock to EarthFirst PLA. Peter,
